Having spent some small amount of time in refugee exile communities in South Asia (with some who have been refugees from 1959) I fail to understand how we keep letting this happen. Is it greed? Is it ignorance? Is it hatred? According to UN statistics 43 million people and counting. Conflict, persecution, environmental. This has to stop. We all need to be a part of the solution. The book is a valuable document of an important part of history. The photographs, taken by Raghu Rai, moved me to tears. I could feel the helplessness of those strife-torn people. The accompanying text is also an important addition.
