Better Colors than other companies.
This product is wonderful. I am used to using the Old Fashion Milk paint but wanted rucher colors. It took me awhile to get used to it ( plus several calls) use distilled water to mix it and the marble in a plastic container mixes it fantasticly. It requires a thinner mix than other milk psints but the extra coats are worth the beautiful colors.

Very pleasant surprise.
It was good to paint inside without thinking about toxicity. The color was amazing. Later we use couple different product in top of it, it came really good.

Not true to color
Didn't matter what color I got it turned the wood green, and did not mix well.

Pros and cons. Lots of cons.
First the pros: I love the color. Love the finished piece (Boardwalk with satin poly top coat). Cons: From all the other reviews it’s safe to say that this is a quality brand of milk paint, but WOW there is a learning curve. While I love that it is environmentally friendly, I won’t use it again. Smells strongly of ammonia, very dusty to work with, temperamental. Some tips: apply very thin coats (especially to nooks and crannies) because extra paint will dry and crack like a mud puddle does. Super fine steel wool on those areas between coats helps. Adding extra coats actually pulls up previous coats, so stippling and then smoothing works well to build coverage. You really do need to stop and stir every few minutes, or the solids settle to the bottom like thick, heavy mud.

They turned out awesome. I LOVE this product
I used this milk paint on a couple of picture frames. They turned out awesome. I LOVE this product. It goes on easily, covers well, looks great on distressed wood, and clean up is a breeze. I am sold. Gone are the days of using primer, base coat, and stain for an antique finish. I will use nothing but milk paint for all future refinishing. Thank you!

It works
Bought this to paint a couple of bee houses and it's really easy to mix, doesn't smell, and looks great. Who knew? Got milk paint?

Mix a little at a time using a electric mixer or a whisk.
If would be nice to have a mixing guide for smaller amounts.
