A nice looking hour-glass (Size 60min with green sand). I bought this for an object lesson. Just what I was looking for at the best price!

Aesthetically very pleasing- which is fine if that’s all you are using it for! But unfortunately not very accurate. My 30 min timer is actually 34.2 minutes (not a big deal in the grand scheme of things, but slightly frustrating!)

I find judging the length of things like client meetings very difficult. And yet, I don't want an alarm to startle my clients. I've been keeping an eye on the clock in the corner of my computer screen but that involves memory and math! When are we supposed to finish? How far away is that? My coach suggested a sand timer. This one is great. It looks really nice as a piece of office decoration. And it gives me a quick visual of how far I am through a 45 minute client coaching appointment.

Accurate to within a a min or two for a half hour timer. Looks nice. Build quality is ok. But they are not expensive. I use this for game timing. I like it and it looks cool on my desk.

Really cool but the sand gets stuck as if theres moisture inside the timer.

I bought as a Xmas gift but kept it myself I work as a therapist and it’s a charming way to keep time

It's a good value for a price, well made and looks very good. Well timed 30min. Its slightly smaller than expected but big enough to look good on a table or shelf. I am using it for a design purposes rather than actual timer. P. S. Well packed with enough support not to break the glass. Came earlier than expected.

So yeah, I got one of the 60 minute hourglasses. Those only come in the metal version though. The largest that the wooden ones come is in 30 minutes. But anyway, I don't like it... I'll say why at the end of this review. But first, the reasons that I have still given it five stars is because I knew what I was choosing when I ordered it and I got exactly what I ordered. The hourglass seems to be extremely well made, and after timing it four times I can say that the hourglass that I got was only about two seconds too fast. Which is more accurate than smaller ones that I've gotten before. And that's pretty impressive. As far as not liking it goes, I guess I just didn't notice when I was ordering it but there's just way too much negative space. The 60 minute hourglass is giant and it doesn't need to be. Each side of the hourglass could be cut in HALF and there would still be plenty enough room for an hour's worth of sand to go back and forth in it. Instead, there's just a giant area inside the glass that will always be empty.

High quality, good looking hourglass. It is quite accurate at 1 hour 1 minute.
