This works just as well as others which cost an awful lot more. Very easy to use just point towards the camera and click. No need for pairing or complicated set up either. Great bit of kit

Works fine with my 550d (which I now use mainly for Macro) but for some strange reason it doesn't want to work with my 750d - in fairness the 750d is not included in the list of compatible cameras and so I have no complaints and at the price of £5.99 it is worth it for the 550d aloneIt was simple to set up on my 550d and I use it fairly frequently now to reduce any movement when taking close up shots. Cheap, easy to set up and use and to be perfectly honest an absolute bargain.

It's a little remote control for Canon DSLRs, once you've set your camera into the right mode for remote shutter activation, you just point this at it and press the grey button. Your camera autofocuses (unless you have it on manual) then 2 seconds later your camera it takes the photo. Simple.However... you will need a Canon DSLR with an IR sensor in the handgrip for this device to work. Check before you buy this! I'm not sure all Canon DSLRs do.There are a couple of caveats though. Firstly, there is only 2 seconds between button press and photo taken. This appears to be fixed. Although on the Canon official one you can apparently get up to 10 (and certainly if you just press the shutter button manually on the camera).Also the official one has switch on the back to allow instant photo taking. This one always has the two seconds.However, you can activate video recording and turn it off remotely with this remote, handy if you need to appear in the video!Just as a note: I had a fault develop in my Amazon Basic's remote after a couple of weeks, though Amazon replaced it swiftly after I let them know and the replacement has been fine.If you need a wireless remote cheaply, and have the right camera (and want to activate photos from in front of it - like for a group shot) then this will do the job fine! Also useful for if you want to take a photo and avoid wobble when you press the button, like for telephoto shots of the moon, for example.

Works perfectly on my old Canon 350d. I'm no pro so still experimenting with it but it connects and works and takes pictures. I can't currently get it to capture on press, there is a 2 sec delay. I've read this is just how it is which is irksome but hoping I'm just being an idiot and missing something obvious haha.I'd say go for it, brilliant price and it does work 👍

At first I thought this is really nice and for the prices couldn't go wrong. I was using it as a shutter release when I was behind the camera i.e. for landscape etc.I tried to use it when I was in the photo and then I found its limitation. It's range is only a couple of metres if that. Impossible to use and to be quite honest a waste of money ... even at £7!

I am not sure about this one. the idea is great, but it only works when in front of the camera, short distance, and with interuptions, a lot of time does not actuate. Probably better go with something more professional.

Great remote which works flawlessly with my Canon EOS M6. Interestingly, when you set the shot mode to multi; when you use the remote the camera continues to take a shot every second without stopping. Could be handy or an annoyance? On single shot mode it works as advertised; so for the money, I have zero complaints. Well done Amazon!Also comes with a great little pouch to keep the remote safe.Worth every penny 👍🏻

For the price this remote is fine. It’s simple and it does the job.Had a problem getting it to work at first. After reading the camera manual I realised I had to put the camera into self timer mode.The remote is small, light and easy to carry with your usual camera equipment.

This little inexpensive remote is a perfect addition to my camera gear. I have a full size plug in intervalometer, a trigger trap, and the canon app on my phone, and all those devices have their uses but I wanted a simple wireless remote shutter release and this AB one is perfect.This works with a 70D. For those that cannot figure out how to set it up, I'd suggest reading your manual or stick with a simple point and shoot camera.Set up takes 5 seconds: open package, remove battery protector, turn on camera, hit Q/go to drive mode, select remote/10sec or remote/2sec. Done. Remember IR is on the front of the camera, so if you don't want to be in photo you will have to stand to the side of the camera instead of completely behind it. I was able to use it at slightly more than a 90 degree angle (to the side and slightly behind camera) so I was completely out of the shot. I havent tested the max distance, but I was able to take a group photo of 25 people at approximately 20 feet away.This is a simple button release, so you'll have to set up your shot before hand. I wish canon would update their software so you can use a remote like this in other drive modes but for now you're stuck with either a 2 or 10 second delay, which is great for camera shake but a little annoying if you want an immediate shot or multiple shots at once (I use trigger trap or canon app for burst shots).Great little remote!

Una vez comprobado que es compatible con tu cámara, sólo has de tener en cuenta un par de matices para que no te equivoques como yo, además de poner la cámara en modo de disparador remoto has de usar el mando desde la parte frontal de la cámara, que es donde tiene el sensor.En mi caso con una Canon 500D el sensor está entre el botón de disparo y el objetivo, y cuando pulsas el botón del mando se ilumina en la cámara un indicador en color naranja durante un segundo, a partir de ahí la cámara hace autoenfoque y a los 2 segundos dispara.He probado a disparar con una pila nueva para conocer el alcance a máxima potencia -(aunque viene con pila y funciona bien)- y he visto que empieza a fallar a los 4 metros de distancia.Relación calidad-precio muy buena, compra muy recomendable.

I have a bought a few of these as they are dirt cheap compared to a standard Canon electronic shutter release. It is not wireless in the sense of wifi so it needs to be in line-of-sight to operate. I have never had any issues with these remote controls. It comes with a nice bag to keep it clean with a string tie. Works with my 7D ii and 5D iii with no problems. I don't know the maximum distance but have used this in low light at about 3 to 4 metres and 2 metres in sunlight with no problems. Standard battery slides in with ease. All in all can't fault it. Does it's job well. Highly Recommended.

This thing will change your life if you are used to just using the self timer.Made my shots so much better and my videos are so much easier to record now.It works really well, you just have to point it at the camera like it says. I haven’t used it too far away from the camera but it’s works as far as taking a full body shot. 100% recommend

A must have in every camera bag! I recommend this product for anyone looking to upgrade their photography experience.
