Made In says, season once, in cold pan, then heat in the oven, and you're done. Users say, season 5-6 times, in a hot pan. Who's right?

I seasoned my Made In pans 6 times over 6 days over a medium high heat on the stove. They perform amazingly now. The key to the carbon steel is the maintenance. After you clean them (never with soap!) dry them over a low flame until all the water has evaporated. What ever oil that's still in the pan will burn into the seasoning and reinforce the non-stick. Once every month or two use the seasoning wax. I've been doing this for 7-8 months now and it works luck a charm. Best pans I've ever owned!

Is it suitable for Stainless Steel as well?

This is only suitable for seasoning carbon steel. Stainless steel requires nothing.

Is the wax gluten free?

Yes it is gluten free. It contains beeswax,canola oil and grapeseed oil. Seasoning wax is a very good choice and last a very long time with out going rancid. I am on the second year with my seasoning wax and getting near a reorder.
