I don't remember the expiration date on the batch I purchased. If you need them for May 2014, then order them in March or April 2014 and you should have no problem with the expiration dates.

how do you find the date on the bottle?

Look on the bottom back side of the bottle. There should be a numerical code there. Banana Boat says the first two numbers are the year it was made. The sunscreen has a shelf life of 3 years. My bottle's first two numbers are 13, so it was made in 2013. It's good until 2016, but I prefer to purchase every year just to be safe.
