Supportive and Comfortable Rib Binder for Recovery
Supportive and Comfortable Rib Binder for Recovery This rib injury binder from BraceAbility has been an excellent help in providing steady support during the healing process. The design is straightforward but effective: it wraps firmly around the chest, offering consistent compression that reduces movement of sore or injured ribs. That stability makes coughing, standing up, and even simple daily movements much more manageable. The material is soft against the skin, with just enough stretch to keep things snug without cutting into you. The Velcro closure is wide and strong, so it stays put once adjusted. I also appreciate that it’s a universal size that fits a wide range of body types—on me it adjusts easily and doesn’t roll or bunch up. The low-profile design means it can be worn under a shirt without drawing much attention, which is a plus if you’re out and about. One thing to keep in mind: while it does a great job at compression, it can feel a bit warm after wearing it for several hours, especially in hot weather. Taking breaks when you’re resting at home helps with that. Bottom line: A well-made, supportive rib binder that provides real relief for bruised, fractured, or cracked ribs. If you’re dealing with rib pain and need extra stability to get through daily activities, this is a reliable choice.

It affects deepnbreathing
It fits pretty tightly and therefore affects one’s breathing. Was not comfortable for me.

Perfect fit for women
This worked very well for me, I hope I don’t have to use it again. But if I do, I know it will work. Made for a woman is the ticket!

Roll down too much/difficult to put on without help
UPDATE: I upped it a star as I didn't think it was fair at 2 stars. It really is a great product. The rolling down part is still an issue, but I'm going to go with: the injury wasn't wrap-able so getting it on correctly and tight enough might have been an issue. My ribs are healing so I'm gonna turn off Grouchy Mode and go back to Chill Mode and be fair to the company. I really really wanted to like this product. It seemed like an answer to prayer. I had fallen and broken a couple ribs in my left size and movement of any kind sent screaming pain throughout my entire body. Basically my ribs shouldn’t have been wrapped which is why the ER doctor didn’t wrap. He said it was gonna hurt like crazy til it healed. I’m not including my error if thinking it needed wrapped. What I am judging this on was generic things that would affect my opinion if I’d had bindable injury. First it arrived in a timely manner, was well packaged and was the correct size. I had to have a friend come over to help because putting this wrap on with broken ribs would be impossible to do on my own. The picture shows that the female product had a shape that took female anatomy into consideration. I still think that was genius. My biggest issue is that the wrap continually rolled down. Sitting still, standing still, thinking about how many times I can use the word “still” in this paragraph, and laying down was an impossibility as you would wake up in agony with the wrap moved off of your completely still (BAM! drops the mic) body. I think I like the idea of this product more than the actual product.

Worth it for sure!
Needed a more stable wrap than just the old ace bandage one. This doesn't roll and it's just perfect for the times when lifting light and moving a bit more than my multiple fractured rib can take without it. Plus is not itchy(bonus)!

Perfect for what I needed
I am over 70 at about 120 pounds and took a tumble forward falling heavily on my right rib cage. i badly bruised the muscles and my rib cage, and there may have been a slight crack in a rib at worst, but it hurt like the dickens. That night I could hardly sleep for the pain while laying on my back and had a terrible night. Next morning my wife got a sports bandage and when it first went on it eased the discomfort a lot, but in the course of the day it rolled up to end up like a bungee cord around my chest. My common sense told me I needed something like this product and when I found in on Amazon I ordered it right away. As soon as it arrived I put it on and I have not looked back. It is very easy to be put on by yourself only, and it has given enough support to ease the pain and more importantly, allowed me to sleep much better at night. I could not roll onto either side so I had to sleep only on my back, but at least I slept. About fitting - First, through trial and error I established that you do not need to wrap this up as tight as possible. It only needs a small amount of the elastic tension to give enough support to hold everything in place inside your body. I have a 44 inch chest and use no more than a 2 inch overlap for support and comfort. Too tight also constricts breathing which you also want to avoid. As long as your chest is not too large, and probably no less than about 34 inches (a guess), you should be able to find the happy medium. It is now two weeks and a couple of days since the incident and last night was the first night I was able to sleep comfortably without it, so I would say that it certainly earned the $14 I paid for it. I highly recommend this product for function and value.

Good brace
Great for rib injuries and help during the day as a brace and added protection to the injury site. I could not wear it in bed, no matter how many times I adjusted it. Arrived in a sturdy plastic bag on time.
