Thoroughly disappointed. Buyer beware. UPDATED 10/05/16
This monitor was beautiful right out of the box, until about a month into owning it. I do illustration/photography work, and really wanted something that rivaled my Macbook Pro as far as color representation goes. For the premium price this monitor demands, I'm highly disappointed. There is a noticeable blue spot extending across the top section of my monitor, especially on whites and greys. This is the first time I've ever owned a product from Dell. This is also the first time I've had to RMA something in this price bracket. Again, very, very disappointed with Dell. --- 4/19/16 Welp, time to lower this bad boy down to one star. The cherry on top of this poo sundae is Dell's notoriously horrible customer service. Truly, its one of the worst customer service experiences I've had in my thirty years, and I feel as though it has only just started. Because I didn't RMA this monitor within an arbitrary 30 day window (unfortunately for me, I need a monitor to work my job), I am stuck exchanging my brand new, albeit defective monitor, for a refurbished one. Prior to that lovely turd nugget, I had to wait on hold for well over forty minutes while an agent overseas "worked on my case". I've also added photos showcasing all of my monitor's wonderful features that seemingly popped up since I originally wrote this review. Specifically, the plethora of hot pixels (seriously, there are hundreds) and complete lack of color uniformity. Please, do yourself a favor and avoid Dell like the plague. --- UPDATE 4/21/16 My RMA was delayed/canceled because I purchased through Amazon. Additionally, Dell Customer Support didn't have my original purchase date on file (which, in fact, I gave to them numerous times during that first call). --- UPDATE 4/27/16 Received the refurbished monitor. No stuck/dead pixels (yet), and thankfully no weird blue marks when viewing pure white. So this is already a better monitor than the one I received prior. However, it should be noted that color uniformity is still severely lacking. Grey uniformity is definitely this monitor's weak point. Much brighter in the middle, and varies widely from edge to edge. When compared to my four-year old Thunderbolt display, the UP2716D looks like a budget IPS. Maybe this is due to Dell insisting on sending me a refurb. Who knows. There is thankfully no blacklight bleed, and the blacks are overall very nice and consistent. The whites/greys however, are not something I would expect from such a premium monitor. There is also a weird red tinge to the whites, as was mentioned in another review, so factoring in the imperfections, as well as the cost and horrible customer service, I still can't bring myself to give this anything but two stars. --- UPDATE 10/05/16 2 stars to Dell, 5 stars for this monitor. I've had it long enough now to know that what I received was just a straight up lemon. Dell's customer service, while awful and redundant, did manage to fix a wrong. This is just a fantastic monitor. Beautiful, vibrant (but balanced) colors, and wide gamut really makes editing a breeze.

Very happy with selection
I recently purchased a Mac Pro (2015) model and wanted a monitor which would take advantage of the Mac high res. Over 90% of work is at desk and the 13” Mac screen is too small for my aging eyes. After doing much research I decided the Dell 2516D was a good choice. I particularly liked the flexible stand, connectivity options, pixel number , front panel controls ,and good reviews. I have had the monitor for 2 weeks and happy I made this choice. As I expected the stand and connectivity and controls are excellent. The color is good (I am Not a photo specialist) and brilliant. The reflections are minor and with the flexible stand can be minimized. I like having 2 USB side ports. The front panel buttons work consistently although you can see nothing until you hold your finger a few seconds in the button are. This takes a little getting used to. I have the input sources set to the MAC DP connector, and the 2 HDMIs (one for TV and the other for my old PC). I leave the mDP empty which is nice because when I leave my desk I set it to mDP and the screen stays blank until I explicitly set it to DP. If I just close my MAC, and don’t select mDP the screen detects the TV signal and switches to TV mode automatically. I have the display set to Mirror mode, 2048 by1152 to get larger text. Even at this reduced resolution the text is sharp I have tried portrait mode and it works fine but a general problem (I had the same problem with my Gateway monitor )is that cables get strained (5 cables) and sometimes get loose when rotating the monitor so exercise caution. The base/stand is REALLY solid. It has a nice flat base where I can put my phone and Seagate drive.

Great Professional Monitor For Photo Editing...
I use this for Photo Editing.... Already had one, needed a second. This is a professional monitor. And the price right now can't be beat! I know it's used, but the colors match up perfectly with my other UP2716D monitor once the settings are adjusted. Have had the monitor for over a month now and have used it extensively. No issues to report... no bleed or dead pixels, etc. I am very nappyh! Sad thing is that Dell stopped manufacturing this model less than a year ago. They originally sold brand new from Dell for $750... While they have released a replacement for this model, I'm not about to shell out $700+ when I can get my hand on a wonderful professional monitor for $200. The monitor was in great shape and well packaged within a static bag and lots of bubble wrap. The stand was somewhat loosely packaged, and one corner of the base actually punctured the shipping box. No visible damage to the stand, but the shipper needs to be a little more aware of properly packing everything!

Perfection in a monitor
Short version: Absolutely gorgeous display, amazing color accuracy, plenty of ports, and premium construction/design. I find the aesthetics along with the quality of the panel, uniformity of back lighting, and color reproduction to be the top qualities of this display. I love the design and the almost edge-to-edge display to be incredible. I run this alongside two dell U2417HA's and it's the best display setup I've had in a long time. I don't have many metrics for you, there are already some great professional reviews out there that dive into this, but I can say that the "feel" is just perfect. I edit photographs, do web design, print layouts and more on this monitor without issue. For pleasure I play games, watch movies, and extensively browse the web and I love the prebuilt profiles for these various activities. No matter if you want perfect color reproduction or gorgeous punchy colors you can find a profile, or make one, to suite your needs. Having run a number of monitors, from a variety of companies, I really think this Dell monitor and indeed the entire product family are a cut above the rest.

Tela nao reflete. Melhor compra para o estudio.

When I opened the box the screen was completely cracked. Not only that but the monitor didn’t even have the same S/N number as the box it came in. This is the first and last time I purchase a ‘Renewed’ product on Amazon. Never Again

I received Dell Ultrasharp 25" Monitor || UP2516D from seller divansh computers today on 17 Oct 2016 and i am very satisfied with dell original packing as well as its. build quality. Pros : 1. 1440p IPS 60Hz monitor for 29K rupees is a damn good value product. 2. U= Ultra sharp P= Professional (precalibrated :) ) to have the best accurate color reproduction 3. IPS has the best color acccuracy and 2560x1440 resolution adds to the perfect image displayed on screen 4. Tilt, swivel and height adjustment available 5. I bought this for playing games and watching movies although some might argue with a gaming monitor using TN panel. But since i am not a competitive gamer i see no point in buying a TN panel wiht high refresh rate . 1440p 60HZ on a gtx 970 is fine for me. Cons : theres some minor backlight bleeding on edge of the monitor whille displaying deep black but it seems that its almost present in any ips monitor. maybe a train eye will only be able to see it.
