Prevented a flea infestation
I noticed fleas on my couch!!! I had told my husband repeatedly to get the cats their flea meds, but he procrastinated (nuff said) and I ended up with fleas in the house. I needed something that wasn't toxic to either us or the pets, but would kill the fleas and prevent more from hatching. This product made me very happy. I sprayed the couch, all the throw blankets and pillows, as well as some of the carpet in the area. We put the cats outside and went to bed with a fan on the affected areas to speed dry time. I haven't had any fleas since. One note. I sprayed some of the blankets outside and there was a slight breeze. I inhaled some of the spray and got throat irritation. I would recommend wearing a mask. Otherwise, follow directions on the bottle and rinse your skin after contact. Great product, no unpleasant smell and very effective.

Worked Like a Charm (I Think)
I just moved into a new house with 3 other roommates, 2 of whom own cats. The roommate who lived in the bedroom I now occupy also had a cat, and it was prone to having fleas. I move in, no pet, but to my dismay, I'm the only one in the house whose room is plagued with fleas. The landlord had steam cleaned my room twice prior to me moving in, and I had seen the house on several occasions, both before and after the previous occupant moved out, and there were no fleas. I guess the eggs were dormant for a while and decided to hatch to feast upon me. I notified one of my new roommates, who quickly set about flea bombing my room to no avail! In the meantime, I had been doing research so I already had this Adams Spray en route (as well as other products that I will mention shortly). The day it arrived, I sprayed my carpet and let it sit for a couple of hours (the instructions recommend letting it sit for at least one hour). I went in my room, stood still for a few moments. Usually the fleas attack my feet within seconds, I stood for several minutes, no fleas. My roommate vacuumed my room, and she had some food grade diatomaceous earth on hand (this ain't her first go-round with fleas), and she sprinkled a layer of this in every nook and cranny of my room. I let it sit overnight while I slept in a flea-free part of the house. In the meantime, I set up a Victor's flea trap, which consists of a light bulb and some sticky paper. In doing further research, I read that recreating one of these traps is as easy as having a desk lamp and a dish of soapy water, but that's neither here nor there. I checked the trap several times throughout the night, no fleas. I checked once more this morning, there was one flea stuck to the trap, a very dead flea. I again stood in several parts of the room, no fleas. So it's been 24 hours since I've used this Adams room spray, and I've yet to see a live flea. But as it's only been 24 hours, I'll remain vigilant. Also, because I just moved in, I was able to quickly and easily remove everything from my bedroom because I discovered the fleas before unpacking anything but my bedding. I also purchased a new mattress and box spring prior to moving in, and had a mattress cover on my mattress. So I will say that having an empty room and a protected mattress worked to my advantage. I also purchased the Vet's Best room spray for my bedding, mattress, box spring, and upholstered headboard for extra protection. Long story short: It's been 24 hours since using this spray in my empty bedroom, followed by vacuuming and a sprinkling of food grade diatomaceous earth, and I've yet to see a live flea in my bedroom. I'll update accordingly. UPDATE 5/21/2017: It's been four days. I found 3 more dead fleas on my sticky trap, which is odd because the trap was just sitting in a corner in my room, NOT turned on. Also, there was a live flea crawling on my arm today, and I sprayed it with the Vet's Best spray and it died instantly. I emptied my room once more and did another thorough spray with the Adams spray. So four days later, no new flea bites, 3 more dead fleas, and 1 live flea. I'll continue to update. I know it takes at least two weeks to be completely rid of fleas using this product, so I still stand behind my 5-star rating. 7/27/2017 UPDATE: It's been a little over 2 months since my last update, so I thought I'd share my final verdict. There have been no more fleas or flea bites since my last update. However, the fleas may have migrated to my roommate's bedroom, because she ended up with a worse infestation than mine in her bedroom. She too used the Adams spray, and all has been well. Also, as a precautionary measure, I sprayed another round of Adams in my room so the fleas wouldn't find their way back to my bedroom. So far, so good. No fleas, no bites, and should I encounter either, I'll know what to do. Although I used several products, this Adams spray was an integral part of getting rid of these fleas. 10/10 would recommend. 6/14/2025 UPDATE: It’s been about 8 years since my last review, and I was making recommendations to a friend with a flea problem, and had to recall this pretty devastating time in my life (dramatic I know, but this is the perspective of someone who didn’t grow up with pets so had no prior experience with fleas). I’m happy to report that after the July 2017 update, I encountered NO MORE FLEAS FOR THE NEXT 4 YEARS. I moved out of that house in August of 2021, not because of the fleas, but because I moved across the country and got a place on my own. In those 4 years, I cycled through a couple more roommates, none of whom had any residual flea problems. I obviously don’t know the state of that home currently, but as the last remaining roommate with the flea problem, my entire home was flea-free for 4 years, even though the roommates with the cats moved out within my last year of living in that house. I haven’t had to deal with fleas since then, but if I do, I’m glad I know what to do. Provided the formula doesn’t change, Adam’s Best is definitely the way to go.

Holy Grail, Hoping They Release Bundle Options!
This spray works wonders! My cat recently had a bad case of fleas, which I was able to help control by applying a topical treatment and flea collar. Unfortunately, I then had to tackle the issue with fleas in my bedding and sofa. This was never an issue for me previously, and it was awful trying to get rid of this issue. I tried vacuuming daily, constantly washed my sheets and pillows, and even purchased a Diatomaceous Earth powder to sprinkle all over the couches and rugs. While this slightly helped, it didn't fully kill off any of the flea eggs (which were the root of the problem). I immediately noticed a difference after spraying this. While I did have to spray all target areas twice daily, I noticed that it killed off all fleas within a few days. My only complaint is that you go through the bottle quickly, due to the fact that you have to be diligent in spraying everything. Once the bottle started running low, it became a bit difficult to spray any product out, even if I tilted the bottle. A lot of people seem to have mixed opinions on the scent - the first time I used this, it smelled strongly of chemicals. However, every time after that smelled pretty tame in comparison to the first application. Not sure if it's because I got used to the scent or if it's because I started shaking the bottle prior to using. Definitely not a fresh or natural scent, it smells kind of like a chemical cleaning agent to me. I don't mind as long as it gets rid of the problem! Besides, the scent is very faint and hardly noticeable once it dries down. Also, I recommend spraying this only during times where you or your pet are not going to be near the treated areas. You can never be too safe, and I wouldn't want this irritating me or my fur baby. Additionally, expect any bedding or fabric to remain damp for half an hour or so after applying. I have purchased this item twice, and I hope they eventually list a bundle option. It's a great product to have on hand and really gets the job done. Should go without saying, but please don't spray this directly onto your pets! This is solely for fabric and furniture, and you should use with caution to prevent your pet from inhaling or ingesting this product. If you happen to get this on yourself by accident, it's very easy to wash off. In terms of effectiveness, I rate it a 5/5. As for the nozzle, scent, and price, 4/5 (please come out with larger bottles or bundle options!)

This is the one to buy
We had to say goodbye to our cat recently. I was always careful to keep him up to date on flea treatments, but apparently the fleas decided to stick around once he left. Tried a couple of different sprays from Walmart but they seemed to only last for a few days and then the problem would just come back worse than before. After some searching, I decided to try the Adams carpet powder and spray as a last resort before calling an exterminator. Let me tell you, this is the one to buy. Exterminator was not needed. Here are my take aways from this: 1. Use both the powder and the spray. Just go ahead and buy some of each. It is worth the money. Be sure to read the directions on both before use. The powder needs to be lightly swept into the carpet with a broom, and then ideally left for several hours, up to overnight. I left mine overnight, vacuumed, and then sprayed with the spray. It took two treatments a week apart to fully get rid of everything, but after that, the fleas were gone. 2. You will also want to use the spray on upholstered furniture, and around all the baseboards in your home in every room, including kitchen and bathrooms, even if you have hardwood or tile floors. Fleas will hide or lay eggs in the little gap between the floor and the baseboards. Also is a good idea to spray under furniture and appliances such as stove and refrigerator. 3. After vacuuming, dump your vacuum bag or canister into your *outside* trash can *immediately*. Do not dump into your indoor trash or leave in your vacuum, as any possible survivors can make their way out and back into other rooms. 4. All that being said, you will definitely need more than one bottle of spray and may need more than one container of powder depending on how much carpet you have. I ended up needing two full bottles of spray plus a little bit of a third bottle, which is fine because I'd like to keep some on hand just in case. Plus, this stuff also kills ants and other common pests so I'm sure it will be needed again for something. I was able to get by with just one container of the powder; it's a small house and I was only treating three small rooms. 5. The powder has kind of a fresh scent to it, but it does not linger once it's vacuumed up. The spray has a chemical smell, but it goes away after a couple of hours. I am really glad I tried this product. It took care of my problem. Don't waste your money on the stuff from the grocery store, this product costs more, but it works!

Not full bottle
The bottle was half full when received. Kind of disappointed. I’m hoping it really works, but seems to be so far.

Use multiple times and more than recommended. Buy 5 bottles...
They get your money by only selling it in such small bottles. 1 bottle only covered couches and dog beds. Use more that it reccommends or you may be fighting them for weeks. It works extremely well when the fleas are still small and have only been an issue for a week or two. It killed on contact for the flease that got in a bedroom carpet and on the couches. Vacuume thoroughly first and spray it on everything and more than recommended and they will be gone within days. Reapply after 24 hours. I just used the dog shampoo and will see how that works also.

Works immediately.
This worked immediately. I took off my cats flea color one evening to brush her and forgot to place back on. Three days later, I saw her scratcing and I found a flea. DANG! I researched what products to use and saw that Adam's had raving reviews on their shampoo for dogs and cats and also this flea and tick home spray. I purchased both and within 1 day I have not noticed her scratching and I have checked her often. I went ahead and washed everything in the house that she has been near and used the flea and tick home spray even in her bedding. It took her a day to go back in her bedding because she probably noticed, but she has been fine and it's been a week. I highly recommend this product for anyone and trust me I am OCD with this cat because she is my companion. I am also very organic and I feel it is a great product for being safe with your pet. So.eone mentioned a pleasant smell, but I wouldn't agree, it's more like a mild organic scent. It's also a bang for your buck as the bottle is huge!!!

Thought one bottle wasn’t enough but after I sprayed all my bedrooms and 2 big rugs there’s still like 1/3 left so pretty good deal. And after 2 days I saw many dead fleas, and no more bites
