Would it work on a nissan

What kind of Nissan do you have ? I have Nissan Pathfinder 2004 and Ford Explorer Limited 2015 , for pathfinder didn't work , you have to change the screws to bolts with narrow threading , for explorer these screws worked perfect 100% .

Are the screw caps actual chrome or are they plastic with chrome colored finish?

I honestly didn't look that close but I do believe they are a plastic coated chrome. I do have to pull some off in the next day or so to update some tags so I'll updated this if they are different than what I think

What size hole would I drill to snap the white washers in?

not sure but the holes in my plate frame were already there and thy just snapped in , and my new truck had them in them
